Junior Horseback Riding Badge:
Embark on an exciting adventure at Chaparral Ranch and earn your Junior Horseback Riding Badge!
Designed for Brownies and up, our program will teach you everything you need to know about horsemanship and the art of horseback riding. In just 90 minutes, you'll learn the fundamentals of horse care, including grooming, cleaning, feeding, and tack. You'll also get hands-on experience with a 45-minute lesson in the arena, where you'll get to put your newfound skills to the test. Whether you're a Girl Scout, Brownie, or just an aspiring equestrian, our Junior Horseback Riding Badge is the perfect way to explore the world of horses and have a blast while doing it!

Horseback Riding Patch:
Join us at the ranch for an unforgettable experience and earn your Horseback Riding Patch! This 60-minute adventure is designed for Daisies and Cub Scouts, and is the perfect way to learn all about horses, including their care, grooming, and history. With 30 minutes of classroom-style learning, followed by 30 minutes of hands-on fun in the arena, this patch program is an exciting and educational way to immerse yourself in the world of horses. Whether you're a seasoned rider or a first-timer, our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way. So grab your riding boots, don your scouting spirit, and let's hit the trails for a hoof-tastic adventure!

Horsemanship Merit Badge:
Welcome to the world of Horsemanship Merit Badge! This program is designed for seniors, ambassadors, and Boy Scouts who are passionate about horseback riding. With 60-minute classes and 4-10 lessons, participants will dive into the world of horsemanship and gain a comprehensive understanding of all things related to horseback riding. From safety precautions to horse breeds, colors, and history, participants will learn about the different aspects of horsemanship in a fun and engaging environment. With hands-on grooming, feeding, and equipment demonstrations, they'll have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice.Each class will culminate in a riding lesson, where participants will get the chance to put their horsemanship skills to the test. With homework assignments and personalized coaching, participants will be able to track their progress and gain the skills they need to earn their Horsemanship Merit Badge.So, join us for an adventure on horseback, where you'll discover the magic of horsemanship and develop skills that will last a lifetime!
